Arboretum Trsteno is an arboretum near Dubrovnik that is touted as a local landmark. But you should not go here at all! Only if you settled in the Dubrovnik region for a month, like we did, then you have to think of something else to see here)
The map below shows paid and free admission to the arboretum. Also listed is free parking and a second, but already free "new park". We suggest passing the paid entrance and parking lot and driving a little further, to the second pseudopark. Here, go in and walk toward the water - this will be the lookout for the Haven Trsteno Marina - the best part of the place. It's about 5-10 minutes. Then drive all the way down to the marina. Parking is free there. Here we walk for 15 minutes and go up the steps on the right side of the pier. At first there will be a semi-abandoned private sector, then the arboretum will start and on the left there will be a gate - free entrance to the arboretum. You just need to pull the handle. We go in and walk around the park as much as 10-15 minutes. The main thing is not to go up the park, where the entrance is paid. Visitors are not enough, or rather they do not exist and it will be clear at once that you got in from somewhere)). The whole arboretum is 15-20 minutes and no more!!! There is nothing to see except for the photogenic places that everyone takes pictures of and get the feeling that this is beautiful). The park is abandoned and depressing. In some places it looks like the usual jungle of Sri Lanka.
Admission ticket costs 70 kuna. Payment only in cash in the form of kuna. Can take euros, but the rounding of the exchange rate and lack of change, led to the fact that we actually overpaid 6 euros for two. The arboretum is not worth the money at all! Entrance with dogs is prohibited, though here made concessions and allowed to take the dog.
