Ai-Petri how to get there?
- It is quite convenient to take an excursion to Ai-Petri. You are then taken (from the side of Yalta there is a serpentine ascent) on the plateau by bus and give you a couple of hours to walk. Guide at this time takes a turn at the funicular. The thing is that as of 2007, I don't think anything has changed in 2019, there are two funiculars for 40 people each. This is the bottleneck of Ai-Petri. From early morning until late evening there are queues of people who want to go up first and then go down. If you want to get there by yourself, you will inevitably have to spend 3-4 hours just to wait in line!
- Of course you can drive your own car up the serpentine. Suffocating can even the toughest - in some places, serpentine "360 degrees"! turns every couple of minutes. And so again there is the question of the queue for the cable car. The highway is the same on which carry tours (on the map - 1) - serpentine, which begins from the village of Livadia (there is a sign on the side of the road).
- Ride a shuttle bus is really not convenient and not profitable.
Ai-Petri - what to see?
- You can drive from Yalta (Livadia) - serpentine road of excellent quality. The serpentine itself is interesting - beautiful forests, in some places, viewpoints with gorgeous views.
- Ai-Petri is the top plateau of a mountain range, quite large, with various attractions: horseback riding, quad bikes, cafes, etc. Walking on the plateau is also interesting, especially for the first visit to the mountain ranges.
- Riding the ropeway is an entertainment for all ages. On Ai-Petri, the whole route is picturesque, so it will be interesting even for experienced travelers!
- There is one observation deck directly behind the chairlift station. The second one is slightly farther to the right (if you face the sea). You will have to "scramble" there, but it is worth it.
- The ice cave "Three-eyes" is small and ordinary. But, who will see for the first time the snow, in the midst of summer, in the depths of the cave - will be delighted! For experienced travelers is of no interest at all.
