Cappadocia is a magical place both in views and sensations. You often get here by accident, for 1 day, as part of a "seal package" from the waterfront of Turkey.

Cappadocia Tips:

•     Don't visit Cappadocia from a tour operator vacationing on the waterfront! You'll "grease" the whole experience with rush and fatigue.
•     Come to Cappadocia on your own for 3 to 7 days. Less than 3 days is very little, more than 7 days is already getting boring due to the fact that everything is explored as much as possible.
•     Of all the cities in the area, the ideal city for a settlement is the town of Guereme. It has a central location with respect to all attractions. All the traffic passes through it. And it is the most beautiful and cozy - a magical town!
•     Book a hotel for 1-2 days and then on the spot find exactly what you like. There are a lot of hotels, lots of vacancies. Since everyone comes for a small number of days, there is a live conversion.
•     Be sure to choose a hotel with a terrace! It is not necessary that it belonged to your room, you can and the total is enough. Hotels on the first floors, without sightseeing views will reduce the charm of staying in Cappadocia. Adequate price for 2019 from 50-60 euros per night (breakfast included). Overpaying for a room in a real rock is not worth it! The views outside are more important here than feeling like a "caveman."
•     Come at the end of May or September. When there is no heat, no rain, no winds. Cappadocia is a place to walk all day! Comfortable weather is a priority.
•     Be sure to study the area beforehand, make a plan to visit the valleys and other attractions.
•     Do not rent a car! Cappadocia is a place of walking. Even if you come to the valley by car, after passing the valley, you will come out in 5-6 km minimally on the other side. Public transportation between towns is well developed. Almost all entrances to the valley can be reached by shuttle buses.
•     Balloon flight should be booked 3-4 weeks before the trip! Or on the first day of arrival. The closer the flight, the higher the price. There is always a risk of flight cancellation - it depends on weather conditions! A little wind or rain... the flight is canceled. The other days, the flights are booked by others... But believe me Cappadocia is so beautiful that even to go out in the morning at 6-7 hours and watch the balloons taking off and soaring is a miracle!!!

Cappadocia - what a must do:

•     Settle in the center of Gereme (landmark mosque, hotels on the way to the viewpoint)
•     Take a walk down the central street of Gereme in the evening when all the stores are lit up.
•     Climb up to the viewpoint of Gereme. It is fascinating in the evening as the city lights up like in the daytime!
•     You can also fly in a balloon.
•     At 6-7 am to make photos against the background of the city and balloons.
•     To visit the main valleys, at least 3-4 pieces: Red / Pink, Dove, Love, Ihlara. In views similar to the Ghost Valley (Demerdzhi Mountain in Alushta / Crimea).
•     Red tour - do not take. Independently all can see everything.
•     Green tour - take it for sure. It includes the underground city Kaymakly or Derinkuyu and a visit to the valley Ihlara.
•     Visit several villages in Cappadocia (must be Guereme, Uçhisar, Urgüp).
