Demerdzhi is a mountain in the Alushta region, in the village of Luchistoe. The Valley of Ghosts is the southern slope of Demerdzhi Mountain. Reminiscent of the valleys in Cappadocia (Turkey).
Indescribably beautiful area! Views, nature, comfortable hiking trails - definitely recommend a visit. We have visited twice. The first time (route 1) at the height of summer we just climbed a slope up and admired the Valley of Ghosts. (Incredibly "fried") By the way the most beautiful views open from the southern slope of the mountain. We see the whole Alushta!
The second time (route 2) came in the spring in early May and went around the whole mountain on the trail - the route below on the map. There were no special views, but the nature charms!
- C - downhill trail 2 in the direction of Luchistoe (turn to Angarsky pass)
- B - waterfall on the route 2. Note that it's a small waterfall on the way. There is also a waterfall Dzhurla, but it is much longer to walk to it and it is not quite a walk around Demerdzhi. In one daylight hours you can not do everything.
- Д - Dzhurla waterfall. It was not visited.
The advantages of Demerdzhi to visit:

Demerdzhi - the valley of ghosts how to get there?
From Alushta, there is a bus to the village of Luchistoe. The interval of movement is on average 1 hour (during rush hours more often). Ask to stop - climb to the "Valley of Ghosts". They will show you the direction, although it will be clear on the spot). For a "mountain goat" type hike, climb the south slope, it will take 4 hours or more. Or an easier walk, but for the whole day - around the mountain on the trail. It is impossible to get lost. There are no forks in the route. Only peculiarity - do not miss the place of the descent from the mountain, otherwise you can go to another path in the direction of Angarsk pass!

Advice: When to visit Demerdzhi - the Valley of Ghosts
- In springtime, the name of the village is confirmed in practice! In spring, when the air is cold and the sea starts to warm up Alushta is covered with a solid fog. The sun doesn't get through that fog at all. The sun shines brightly in the village Luchistoe at this time! And the especial spring plus is that everything blooms and smells! From the disadvantages - the views of the sea and Alushta are not available because of the fog.
- Summer - When the sun heats the Ghost Valley, the horizon is blurred and all the views of the sea and the city in a shroud of heat.
- Autumn - The most beautiful views of the sea will be in the velvet season. The sun will already be soft, it is convenient to walk. I.e. this is the optimal time to visit. From the southern slope - the Valley of Ghosts, you will observe the panorama of Alushta and walk along the trail around Demerdzhi without much effort.
