Monte Baldo is "the forerunner of the Alps" at 1800m - a sea of excitement is guaranteed!

First of all, the climb to the top is a must! You can take the funicular, or you can walk. The lift and the beginning of the hiking trail are located in the centre of Malcesine, just next to the fortress and the old town on the promenade. Signs are posted everywhere. If you're staying overnight in Malcesine you already know where to park, and if you're just passing through and want to take the cable car up that way you'll need parking. They are signposted everywhere as well. Car park 1 is very close, but you are unlikely to find a spot there. Car parks 2 and 3 are a 15 minute walk away. These are specific car parks) Essentially a fenced off area with a barrier. Parking costs about 1,5 euro/hour. You have to pay for the estimated parking time when you enter. This might be interesting) We were out of season, late September and took 3 hours supposedly to spare! We ended up walking on the plateau for 30 minutes running! And we were 1 hour late!!! Fortunately we left OK, no blockages. The rest of the time we spent in queues!!! There are no words to describe it - just tiredness ... Despite the queue, the large number of people, we can say that this is the best thing to see and visit in northern Italy))) The funicular itself is like a ride, it slowly spins 360 degrees during the ride. You end up enjoying panoramic views from all sides.

The views from Monte Baldo are breathtaking!

The queue for the Monte Baldo cable car needs to be multiplied by 5!!! "out of season"

Alternatively, a cable car ticket can be taken online, and you can get in line as early as possible in the morning. The plateau was a great place for a walk! There are great walking trails with panoramic views! A great solution would be to take the funicular up in the morning with a walk around the plateau for about 2 hours with lunch. It's worth setting aside at least 2-3 hours out of season for the queue. What is there in the season? Not even interesting)
