Quarry on the Red Stone and Novokodatsky Park

Youth Novokodatsky Park (Lenin Park in the old way) and the granite quarry on the Red Stone are in the same place. This area is just for walking, no picnic. Time of the review - from 1 hour, it's enough to get around all not hurriedly.

You can enter the parking lot from 2 sides:

•     Near the Ice Arena (from the embankment side) there are "wild" parking spaces and the entrance to Novokodatsky Park. There is a closer crossing across the road to the Red Stone Spit, where there are already picnic spots.
•     On the side of the quarry (indicated on the map) there is a more convenient equipped parking lot. And from here it is convenient to get to Novokodatsky park and quarry.

Novokodatsky Park can be conditionally divided into two parts - on the map it is shown with a dashed line. As of May 2020, the first part (closer to the embankment) is well equipped for walks with children - there are playgrounds, rope park, a little bit of attractions, and the second section is a place for walking dogs) At the beginning, the park begins equipped with alleys with benches, but not much greenery. Then the park turns into solid greenery with paths and abandoned and paths. For once it was ok to have a walk, but you do not want to come again ... as it is not cozy in any part of the park. For the locals it's a great place to walk, but you don't want to come here from other districts of the Dnieper.

The quarry at Red Stone was formed from the extraction of granite. It is not a large site, but it is very beautiful and comfortable. You can walk around it in a circle on the path in 15 minutes. There is a nice panoramic cafe, by the way there is a passageway through it, which allows you to go around the quarry in a circle. There are benches and a green lawn below. There is no wind at all, the sun shines, pigeons coo, kids play in the sand, dogs roll on the grass - in other words - everyone is happy! Very atmospheric place) If you need more places to walk, you are welcome - go across the street and there at your disposal the whole spit for picnics!
