You can go to the UAE if only for the fountains:

  •     Dubai Fountains at the foot of the Burj Khalifa Tower
  •     The fountains at Global Village (map below shows their location)
  •     Fountains in Sharjah at the centre of Al Majas promenade

The fountains in Dubai are $200 million, the jets are 150 meters high and 275 meters long - the width of the fountain! The main thing of course is the setting of these fountains - the combination of the play of light and sound! Each jet dances precisely to the rhythm of the song. The best viewing place is near the bridge, on the corner of the ledge. There you get the feeling that the fountains are singing and dancing just for you, and people don't exist around you) The show runs every day from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, every 30 minutes. There are so many people that the first time you watch the fountain from the second row, when the performance is over, the people in the front leave and you take a seat))) to be in the front row for the next performance! The music is chosen at random by the computer from the following list of songs:

  •     "Sama Dubai", in honour of Sheikh Mohammed, plays first at 6pm every day
  •     "Baba Yetu" (Our Father), the Grammy Award-winning Swahili song from Civilization IV, by Christopher Tin.

The Global Village fountain in Dubai, Aqua Fantasia, is also worth your attention. It is not as large as the Dubai Mall, 60 metres long, but it is the second largest and most important fountain in the UAE. The fountain not only dances and sings but it is also combined with a fire show and brilliant multi-coloured illumination - it is really unique. And the music is so catchy that you just look for it on your playlist and like a ringtone in your phone).
