Delft is an almost ordinary little town in the Netherlands. But if you ask what is most memorable in all the Netherlands, it would be the bicycle car parks and the canal-lined streets of Delft.

The point is that it is the rhythm of the city that is interesting here, the rhythm of life here flows slowly, no one is rushing anywhere. But you can't call it a "village" in any way. Everything is clean and flowery everywhere... At least, it feels that way, so for inhabitants of megacities it will be fun).

You don't need to spend the whole day, but the first half of the day with lunch in Delft is a must. The streets are very narrow and all along the canals. In the morning, they're lit up in a lovely sunny way! There are people walking around everywhere, but no crowds. The cafes are full, but there's always a place or two.

The main attractions Market Square, Delft Town Hall and Nieuwe Kerk church are all in the heart of the city and within walking distance of the train station.

It's easy to travel between cities in Holland by train - fast and comfortable. Just after Delft, we head for The Hague. You can take the train again in 10 minutes or you can take tram number 1 - in 30 minutes, but it's 2 times cheaper.
