What is Rotterdam famous for?

Rotterdam is a must-see to experience the atmosphere of the Netherlands and Europe. Walk along the river canals and visit several parks, including Rotterdam's Blijdorp Zoo. Visit the cargo port (one of the largest in the world) during a boat trip. Admire the "white swan" - Erasmus bridge. Do not forget about shopping - shopping malls are full of goods. The counters of supermarkets are studded with a wide range of products and fruits.

What to see in Holland?

A good place to start is when to go to the Netherlands! It should definitely be summer!

What to see in the Netherlands:

  •     Rotterdam can be used as a place to settle down. It is conveniently centrally located and will require at least 2-3 days of sightseeing in the city itself. Getting to neighbouring towns is easy and quick by train.
  •     Delft and The Hague can be visited in 1 day. Stroll through the streets of Delft and have lunch at the Market Square. Take a train or tram to The Hague. There you can explore the castle complex and walk out onto the North Sea promenade!
  •     Amsterdam can easily be explored in 1 day. On the way you can pop into a cheese shop in Gouda (nothing else to do in Gouda). Amsterdam is interesting for its architecture and canal city structure - a mix of Venice (Italy) and Wroclaw/Krakow (Poland). Daytime walking tour of the centre. In the evening visit the legendary Red Light District.

What to try in the Netherlands? Of course cheese - hard and noble mould!

Delft what to see in half a day?

Delft and The Hague can safely be visited in 1 day. Until lunch (inclusive) we walk around Delft. All the sights are within walking distance from the railway station: the Market Square, the Town Hall and the Nieuwekerk church. Then we take the train or tram 1 to The Hague for another walk along the North Sea with dinner on the shore!

What to see in The Hague in half a day?

What to see in The Hague in half a day:

  •     Binnenhof - a large castle complex in the heart of The Hague, on the shore of Lake Hofwijver
  •     Scheveningen Beach in The Hague (Scheveningen). A great place to meet the sunset and have dinner at a waterfront cafe after a walk along the sea.

So it's better to have a half day in the afternoon. We spend the first half of the day in Delft (with lunch included). After lunch we take the train and go to The Hague.
