Why half a day? Because there's nothing else to do. It is best to arrive in The Hague in the afternoon. The first half of the day can be spent strolling through the streets of Delft and having lunch in the central square there. Explore the Binnenhof first, then watch the sunset at a café on Scheveningen beach.
The Binnenhof is a large castle complex in the heart of The Hague, on the shore of Lake Hofwijver.
First you can admire the architecture. Then walk along the lake and feed the ducks while resting on a bench. It all takes about 1 hour.
The beach at Scheveningen in The Hague is a real Dutch resort
However, it is specific. If you like a constant wind and the icy sea water of the North Sea, you will love it) Because of the wind on the beach a lot of garbage. It's a great place to fly a kite for the kids, if they don't get blown away by the same wind. What is really great is the evening promenade along the waterfront! Along the entire promenade stretch cafes that try to stand out and each one is styled with something special! The cafes are completely sheltered from the wind, everywhere the music is playing and walking people - an atmospheric place). However, to visit the cafe, be patient - if they approach you 15 minutes after you have sat down, that's fast! Drinks and food are brought in exactly 30 minutes, not before! Such time of service was observed in many cafes in Holland, including Rotterdam and Amsterdam. You can safely sit down to rest and go on)
