Prague - the city of red roofs

Worth a visit for sure. Something supernatural and beautiful will not be) But Prague can be classified as one of the beautiful European cities with a number of attractions.

Prague viewpoints:

  •     Letenské Gardens Park is not the brightest landmark itself, but from the observation deck on its territory you can get the best view of Prague with all its bridges! It takes 30-40 minutes for the view.
  •     Petřín Hill - also allows for a great panorama of Prague with its red roofs. For the view is enough for 30-40 minutes. There is no point in climbing to the top of the hill. There will not be views, although there is even a "pseudo Eiffel Tower".

Parking in Prague - online payment from your phone

The sights of Prague are placed at some distance from each other, between will have to get by car. Paid parking in the "old" city, where all the iconic sites are concentrated, is very few. Free parking can be considered non-existent) However, the parking lots are well organized and available online. You come to any paid parking lot, find a free spot and pay online for advance parking time. If you don't have enough time you just prolong it online again! It's not like in Italy and France - you don't make it to the estimated time and go jerking to the parking lot).

Prague sights:

  •     Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral are in the same place, near each other. It is convenient to park in the place indicated on the map. Walk through the Royal Garden to the Prague Castle. Then return to the parking lot and walk in the opposite direction to Letenské Gardens to the observation deck (1). This walk will take about 3 hours. It is worth a visit - the architecture is "off the charts"!
  •     Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and Prague Chimes can be visited simultaneously with Petřín Hill. First, take a walk up the hill, you don't have to go up it. It is enough to walk up to the right to the observation deck (2). Then go back down, walk across the legendary bridge and get to Stare Mesto, walk to the square with the chimes. It will take about 3 hours. But in the old town you will already have a lot of nice stores and cafes, which can significantly extend the time of the walk) The walk in general turns out great! However, individually, each attraction is nothing special. Especially the Charles Bridge with the statues - a lot of people, nice statues, but nothing more. And in the evening there's nothing to do on the bridge, you can't see anything - the little lanterns for one light bulb near each statue are lit... It's a far cry from the glow of the streets and landmarks in Paris (Louvre, Pont d'Alexcadre III)! Chimes, even though they are one of the oldest astronomical clocks in the world, but if you're not a fan of clocks, there's nothing to do) Old Town Square is also pretty ordinary. And Prague's ubiquitous trdelnick straws are "for sucker tourists". They are not even tasty!

So, in fact, there are two routes that you can fit into one day if you want. Or you can stretch it over two days of stay in Prague.

Prague Zoo - one of the attractions of Prague

Prague Zoo will be of interest to all ages from small to large. It takes at least 5-6 hours to visit it. Therefore, you can safely allocate a day, or half a day. You will walk through the zoo on foot, so you will hardly want to see anything else on this day.
